French Foreign Minister and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also discussed the Lachin Corridor issue

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Catherine Colonna and the Secretary of State of the United States Anthony Blinken discussed, among other issues, the issue of the Lachin Corridor, French Foreign Ministry reports.

"The Minister and the Secretary of State also discussed the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, reviewing the efforts being made to resolve the conflict and emphasizing the need for immediate restoration of free movement through the Lachin Corridor. The serious humanitarian consequences of the current blockade are unacceptable, and France and the United States, through contacts with Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Aliyev, are combining efforts to end this situation."

Since December 12, 2022, Azerbaijan has closed the Lachin Corridor connecting Artsakh to Armenia, as a result of which 120,000 residents of Artsakh, including 30,000 children, are under siege.

It is not possible to deliver 400 tons of food and medicine from RA to Artsakh every day.

9 children are in neonatal and intensive care units, and 7 patients are in the intensive care unit, 3 are in critical condition. During this period, 83 Armenians and 4 foreigners in need of emergency medical care were transferred to Armenia through the mediation of the Red Cross. One of the patients died in Artsakh.

Azerbaijan has blocked the only gas pipeline feeding Artsakh from Armenia. Fan power outages are carried out 6 times a day for 1 hour. There is a food coupon system.
