Aliyev claims Armenians living in Karabakh will have no status, no independence, no special privileges

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview to AzTV that today there is no Karabakh issue in the process of regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"There were such attempts, but I never agreed with it. What does Armenia have to do with it? This is our internal business. Today, there is no question of any status at the negotiation table," the President of Azerbaijan said.

According to him, the Armenians living in Karabakh should take the right step and understand that their future depends only on integrating into the Azerbaijani society.

"Armenians living in Karabakh will have no status, no independence, no special privileges, they are the same as all other citizens of Azerbaijan. Like the rights of Azerbaijani citizens, theirs will be protected as well. This is the only way," Aliyev said.
