The Liberal Party of Australia recognizes the independence of the Republic of Artsakh

On August 11, the Liberal Party of Australia recognized the independence of the Republic of Artsakh and the genocides of Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks by Turkey at a conference held in New South Wales, appealing to the federal government of Australia also to recognize the independence of the Republic of Artsakh, Artsakh Foreign Minister Davit Babayan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"Recently, the Armenian-Australian friendship group of the Parliament of New South Wales, Australia, made a statement condemning the aggressive policy of Azerbaijan towards the Republic of Artsakh.

We thank the Liberal Party of Australia and the Armenian-Australian Friendship Group of the Parliament of New South Wales for such initiatives. This is an essential political and moral support for the people of Artsakh and an exemplary manifestation of humanity and friendship.

We also thank the Australian Armenian community for their constant support of Artsakh. The Australian-Armenian community is one of the most organized centers of our Diaspora, which is constantly involved in solving pan-Armenian issues and protecting our national interests," Babayan wrote.
