The parents of the servicemen killed in the 44-day war, who protested in front of the Ministry of Defense since morning, did not manage to meet the Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan today. According to one of the parents (Vahid Sahakyan), however, the ministry promised to set a date and time for the meeting.

Vahid Sahakyan said they were informed by the Ministry of Defense that the ministry is unable to call the battalion commander Pavlik Kyaramyan to a confrontation.

"We were told that the issue of bringing Kyaramyan Pavlik to a confrontation is under the jurisdiction of the investigator. We will still decide our next steps in this regard. But we are here with our demand. We want to meet with the Minister of Defense because there are issues that concern us. Now we are waiting when Suren Papikyan will receive us," said the victim's father.

The sons of the parents protesting in front of the ministry building are from the 4th battalion of the 5th defense district of Martakert. The parents demand to meet with the battalion commander Pavlik Kyaramyan, whom they accuse of killing their sons. It should be noted that the parents are demanding a meeting with Defense Minister Suren Papikyan or Deputy Minister Arman Sargsyan. For a long time, parents are trying to find out under what circumstances their sons died.

The parents of the soldiers were upset by the fact that the commander of the same battalion, Pavlik Kyaramyan, was awarded the "Combat Cross" of first class, even though he did not participate in combat operations.

It should also be noted that today the parents of the victims tried to enter the Ministry of Defense, but they were not allowed.
