Armenian side reaffirms its readiness and commitment to the establishment of peace and stability in the region. RA MFA spox

In response to the questions of journalists regarding recently circulated comments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia underlines the 24th provision of the joint statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia and President of Russia issued on April 19, 2022, which reads: 

“The leaders exchanged views on the situation in the South Caucasus. They expressed views regarding the continuation of the constructive work within the framework of regular meetings between the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan as well as for consistent implementation of the agreements of the three leaders undertaken on November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26,  2021, in benefit of ensuring regional stability, security and economic development. They stressed the decisive contribution of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in ensuring the security of Nagorno-Karabakh and creating favorable and secure conditions for the life of the population. They stressed the need for an urgent settlement of the pressing humanitarian issues and the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through political-diplomatic means.

In that context, they reaffirmed the importance of using the potential and experience of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship in accordance with its international mandate.”
